Pain management

Chronic pain and recent injuries can be very draining. My goal is to relieve your pain through manual therapy, help with home care exercises and provide suggestions for workplace and lifestyle adjustments to prevent further injury.

The modalities I use are Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Release, Joint Mobilizations, Muscle Energy Techniques, Kinesiology Taping, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Cupping Therapy.

Conditions I offer treatments for

  • Back pain

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Sciatic pain

  • Neck pain

  • TMJ dysfunction

  • Frozen shoulder

  • Headaches

  • Tennis/Golfer’s elbow

  • Shoulder pain

  • Motor Vehicle Accident injuries

  • Sport injuries

As a Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Acupuncturist I hold memberships in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS) and the Maritime Association of Registered Acupuncturists (MARA).

I am currently enrolled in a 4 year part-time program to become an Osteopath through the College of Osteopathic Studies in Halifax and will be finished with my studies in 2026.

About me

For the last 18 years I have helped clients with various acute and chronic pain conditions. I established my clinic in Cheticamp in 2007 and it has been really great to become part of this wonderful community. Helping people experience more health through a multi-disciplinary approach is important to me I and often refer clients to other practitioners, when I think it can be beneficial. Working with your Medical Doctor, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and other health care professionals is important to me. I want to get to the root of the cause rather than just treat the symptoms.

Playing sports has always been a passion of mine and I have had several injuries that have prevented me from being active. I know how difficult it is when you cannot enjoy the activities you love and I want to get my clients back on track as soon as possible.

In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer, badminton, cross country skiing, working out, surfing and photography. My partner Cecilia and I are avid hikers and we enjoy healthy eating. I am committed to continuing my education and I truly hope I can help you on your way back to moving freely and living a better life.

Yours in health,

Roman
